Snow Day!

Today's snow is a MAJOR reason I'm SOOOO glad to work from home!! I didn't have to get up early to clean a foot of snow off of my car and worry about how the roads will be on my way to work. I always hated getting my work clothes all dirty from cleaning off my car and treading through yucky slush in the work parking lot!! Today, I got to wake up and look out my window and smile at all the people in our apartment complex parking lot cleaning off their cars and heading out to work. I even saw one of my neighbors in her work clothes fall right on her but in the snow! Whew!! Glad that wasn't me!! I had my fair share of that! Nope...I was able to sit in the warmth and get to work on my computer after 30 mins of exercise all without stepping foot in the snow!

I agree with that, working from home has many benefits. Feel for yall who are dealing with the snow, looking forward to spring.

I finally stopped by to see your blog. First of all I wanted to click away from the first page as soon as I saw snow!!! LOL I'm Canadian so I see enough of that at home.

But your blog title and content is every island girl's dream. Good luck to you and may we both live a healthy beach life!!!

Carrie,

I am so glad you got to stay out of snow. I know you'll think this is crazy, but a part of me envies you for the snow...I've only seen it a few times in my life. I'd love to make a snow angel! Good for you for exercising BEFORE you went to computer. I'm not always so good about that!

Thanks for your comment Sara! Where do you live that you have only seen snow a few times? I'm looking to move somewhere where there is a beach, warm sunny weather, and no snow!! :-) It's hard once I get sucked into working on the computer. I say I will only be on there for a little bit and then 4 hours later I'm still on it! lol

Hi Carrie and Mike,

Do you get much snow where you live?
We get very little and I love snow, it makes everything look so beautiful and magical, like a winter wonderland. I'm not trying to be corny but London is not the most picturesque place but a blanket of snow changes it's appearance and the personalities of everyone.

We had the first proper snow fall in 18 years last week and I witnessed fathers building snow men with their kids and everyone looked so happy throwing snowballs. Most of the schools were closed and a lot of people did not go to work, London came to a stand still but it was a fun couple of days.

You are lucky that you work from home, my goal is to work for myself from home.

@ Michelle, Thanks for the comment! Last year we didn't get a whole lot, but this year we definately got a lot of snow! We just recently got a foot of snow and then two days later got another 3 inches! I don't usually like the snow especially when I had to go to work...everything around here is always open no matter what. It's nice working from home now so I can actually enjoy it and don't have to go driving in it. That sounds like a perfect snow day in London! I've never been to London but look forward to traveling all around with my husband someday with the residual income we will be making with our home business. Best of luck to you Michelle! Keep in touch!
